Venezuela Fury's wedding hairdresser says family were 'absolutely lovely'
Wrexham Hairdresser Recalls ‘Absolutely Lovely’ Experience Styling Venezuela Fury’s Wedding Hair
A stylist from north Wales has shared her delight after being urgently recruited to create the bridal look for Venezuela Fury, the daughter of boxer Tyson Fury. Lynsey Austin, who normally caters to clients in her hometown of Wrexham, admitted she was stunned when the Fury family reached out just two weeks prior to the nuptials.
The ceremony, which united Venezuela and Noah Price, took place on the Isle of Man. The bride’s gown featured a massive 40ft (12m) train that was deemed too large to be accommodated in a standard workshop.
Austin, who has owned LA Salon for 19 years, described the family as "down to earth" and noted that the high-profile assignment has generated a significant surge in bookings for her business. While she has handled "one or two" celebrity clients previously, she emphasized that Venezuela was by far the most prominent figure she has ever styled.
The opportunity arose when Doll Beauty HQ, a Chester-based salon, contacted Austin two weeks before the wedding, asking if she could execute the specific finger wave style Venezuela requested. Following this call, Austin was rushed to a location to demonstrate her proficiency with finger waving. Once she proved her skills, she was transported to the Fury residence, where Venezuela inspected her work to ensure she was satisfied.
The wedding ceremony was held at the Victorian Royal Chapel of St John’s on the Isle of Man. It is worth noting that while the legal marriage age in England and Wales was raised to 18 in 2023, the Isle of Man maintains a minimum age of 16, provided parental consent is given.
Austin praised the couple's parents, calling the Fury family "absolutely lovely" and "brilliant," adding that meeting them felt "just like going to meet a friend."
The styling process was an all-night endeavor. Austin remained at the family home until just after 01:00 BST on the wedding day to prep Venezuela’s hair, returning at sunrise to finalize the look. "I was literally running on an hour and a half of sleep, but the adrenaline of the day keeps you going," she explained.
Although Austin did not attend the service in person, she viewed videos of the event online and was moved by what she saw. "She just looked so stunning," Austin said, admitting she "felt like I was going to cry" upon seeing Venezuela walk down the aisle.
Since sharing her own footage from the event, Austin’s social media presence has exploded. One of her videos has garnered three million views. "It's absolutely crazy," she remarked, reflecting on the unexpected viral success.
